Our War Too: Women in Service at Atlanta History Center

Our War Too: Women in Service honors the nearly 350,000 American women who answered the call to serve during World War II. Built around unique and colorful artifacts from The National WWII Museum’s collection, the exhibit brings forward stories that are often underrepresented in the broader wartime narrative.

While popular accounts of American women during World War II often focus on the Home Front, this exhibition highlights women who volunteered for vital roles in the uniformed services. Visitors can learn how their service expanded possibilities, challenged expectations and contributed to the Allied war effort.

The exhibit offers a powerful look at courage, duty and recognition, connecting personal stories to the larger history of women’s military service.
